Fabric sellers can use AI to show unstitched cloth as a finished, stitched suit. With Preloom you upload a photo of the fabric, pick a style such as a women's kurta or shalwar kameez, and get a photoreal preview in about a minute. That image goes on the product listing, Instagram post or WhatsApp catalogue next to the flat fabric shot.
It answers the question every unstitched-fabric customer asks: what will this look like once it is made up?
Why unstitched fabric is hard to sell from a photo
In a shop, a salesperson drapes the shirt piece over a shoulder and the customer can picture it. Online, the customer sees a folded suit in its packaging or a flat print, and has to imagine the kurta, the sleeves and how the dupatta sits. Many cannot. They message to ask, or they scroll on.
Brands that can afford it stitch a few designs and pay for a model shoot. A smaller seller with dozens of prints a season usually cannot stitch and shoot every one, so most of the catalogue goes out as flat fabric.
Your step → how Preloom helps
| Your step | How Preloom helps |
|---|---|
| New stock arrives | Photograph each suit's fabric and save it to the fabric library with its name and composition, free. |
| Making listing images | Generate a stitched preview per design: women's kurta, kurta set, shalwar kameez, frock and more. Use portrait size for product pages and stories. |
| Suits with several pieces | Upload more than one fabric photo per design, for example the printed shirt and the dupatta, so both appear in the preview. |
| Customer asks for a different cut | Tweak in plain English ("straight shirt, 3/4 sleeves, round neck") and send the new version on WhatsApp. |
| Showing the suit worn | Place the preview on a photoreal AI model, on Professional or Enterprise plans. |
Example workflow: listing a new lawn collection
- 1
Shoot the fabric flat
Open out the shirt piece in daylight and photograph it from above, plus a separate shot of the dupatta or border. The fabric photo guide has the details.
- 2
Describe the style once
Choose women's shalwar kameez or kurta and describe a simple, popular cut. Keep the same description across the collection so the images look like a set. Our post on describing a style for AI helps here.
- 3
Generate and check
Compare the colour on screen with the cloth. If it is off, retake the photo rather than editing the image.
- 4
Post with both images
Put the flat fabric photo and the stitched preview side by side, and label the preview as an illustration of one possible stitching.
Which plan suits a fabric seller?
Start with the 3 free credits on signup to test a few of your own prints. One design costs 1–4 credits depending on model tier and quality, and low quality, the cheapest setting, is usually enough for a WhatsApp preview.
A seller adding a steady stream of designs will usually fit Basic ($30 a month, 30 credits) for stitched previews. If you want the suit shown on an AI model for Instagram, that needs Professional ($50, 50 credits). Unused subscription credits carry over. If your stock arrives in seasonal drops, a one-time pack (20, 50 or 100 credits for $20, $50 or $100) never expires. See pricing, and our guide to selling unstitched fabric online for the rest of the listing.
