To design kids' clothing with AI, photograph the fabric flat in daylight, upload it to Preloom, pick a children's garment type (boys' kurta, girls' frock, dress shirt, hoodie or kids outfit) and describe the style. Preloom generates a photoreal children's garment from your fabric, usually within a minute, and you refine it with plain-English edits.
Children's wear is a big part of Eid, wedding and school-season buying, and many families buy matching fabric for parents and children. The difficulty is that a fabric chosen for an adult garment does not automatically work on a small one.
Why is children's clothing hard to judge from fabric?
Print scale. A motif that suits an adult kurta can cover half of a toddler's chest. Children's garments have small panels, so large prints get cut off and small ones read better. Proportion. Children's clothes have shorter bodies, bigger heads relative to the body and simpler cuts, so details like collars, pockets and buttons need to be scaled down to look right. Practical cuts. Parents choose loose fits, easy openings and soft fabrics, and the preview needs to show a child-friendly garment, not a shrunken adult one. Matching sets. Father-and-son kurtas or mother-and-daughter outfits from one fabric need to look related without being identical.
Because Preloom reads print scale from your photo, include a full repeat of the print. The fabric photo guide covers the method.

Which Preloom options apply
Children's garment types in Preloom are girls' frock, girls' kurta, girls' skirt, boys' kurta, boys' dress shirt, boys' hoodie and kids outfit for a complete look. For matching family outfits, generate the adult garment from the same fabric photo too, for example a men's kurta beside a boys' kurta. See the frock page for girls' frock styles in detail.
On Professional and Enterprise plans you can place the garment on a photoreal AI model. Presets include girl, boy, teen girl, teen boy, toddler and baby, so the garment is shown at a believable child's size rather than on an adult.
Example kids' descriptions
- "Boys' Eid kurta in this cotton, band collar, full sleeves, hip length, white shalwar, matching the men's kurta design."
- "Toddler girl outfit: frock in the floral print with a plain yoke, frill sleeves, leggings."
- "Boys' casual hoodie in this fleece, zip front, contrast drawstrings, joggers."
