To design a frock with AI, photograph the fabric flat in daylight, upload it to Preloom, choose a girls' or women's frock and describe the bodice, waistline, skirt fullness, sleeves and length. Preloom generates a photoreal frock from your fabric, usually within a minute, and you refine it with plain-English edits.
In Pakistan and India a frock covers a lot of ground: a cotton party dress for a three-year-old, an everyday lawn frock, and a long, flared women's frock worn with churidar or trousers for weddings. What they share is a fitted top and a gathered or flared skirt, and that skirt is where fabric surprises people.
Why is a frock hard to picture from the fabric?
Gathers change the print. A skirt gathered into a waistband compresses the print at the top and lets it open towards the hem, so a neat geometric repeat becomes a soft ripple. Fullness changes the fabric. Lawn and cotton stand out crisply; chiffon and georgette fall soft and need a lining. The yoke and waistline set the proportion. A high yoke with a long skirt reads younger and more traditional; a natural waist reads more grown-up. Contrast pieces. Many frocks use a plain fabric for the yoke, sleeves or a hem band to calm a busy print.
Upload each fabric if you plan a contrast yoke or border, and say where it goes. The fabric photo guide shows how to capture a full print repeat, which matters more on a gathered skirt than almost anywhere else.

Which Preloom options apply
Choose girls' frock for children's wear or women's frock for adult styles. Maxi dress, gown and kids outfit cover nearby looks. Add a reference garment photo if you want to copy a particular silhouette.
For a whole season of girls' frocks, the batch grid pairs up to 12 fabrics with up to 12 frock styles (up to 60 designs per batch), so you can see which prints suit which cuts before sampling any of them.
Tweak is the quick way to try the decisions a frock depends on: "make the skirt fuller", "add a contrast hem band", "change to flutter sleeves". On Professional and Enterprise plans you can place the frock on a photoreal AI model, including girl, teen girl and toddler presets. For a full range of children's garments, see kids' clothing.
